Kafé Utza, the Basque term for black coffee, is a Basque-owned coffee shop and roaster.
Kafé Utza needed an identity that would represent its Basque influence and high-end products.
We paired an iconic Basque beret with a familiar coffee cup to create a playful beret-capped head. The lowercase, classic sans-serif typeface makes for an approachable logo that hints at a European influence.
